Alan worked in the legal department of JP Morgan Chase and Clydesdale Bank and has an interest in Corporate Governance. In his native New Zealand he worked as a Baptist Minister for many years at Whangarei Central Baptist Church. Luxembourg was home for a while where highlights included dealing with German colleagues in the automobile industry and leading board meetings in French while in Paris. Alan has undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in both Law and Theology. He is married to Jen who is a surgeon at Ninewells Hospital, they have a young son. Alan enjoys fitness, playing chess and following his beloved All Blacks.
